I've got Sekera in a 20 team yahoo rotiserrie. I'm wondering if Kulikov who is available is making the big leap. - tim crowell

Ottawa has been trying to put Fisher on the third line for YEARS. They always thought he was the center, but finally they tried him on the wing and he seems to be flying. His recent success only proves that he will fill out our third line. But in reality, Ottawas second and third line will be more a 2a and 2b with equal ice time. This mornings practice lines:
Michalek - Spezza - Alfredsson
Foligno - Shannon - Kovalev
Cheechoo - Regin - Fisher
Ruutu - Neil - Kelly

Phillips - Volchenkov
Kuba - Karlsson
Carkner - Campoli
Picard - Lee

PS. Regin has been great during the preseason and is now looking at PP time. He made the team for SURE. Same goes for Karlsson. - paul faure

Has anyone heard how he is shaping up in the pre season? There hasn't been much press that I have seen to this point. Shirokov has made lots of news with his play. Sounds like a keeper. I hope he can flourish in Canuck Land. - Mark

Dobber, I'm 99.9% sure Anisimov will center the third line and Boyle the fourth. I'd be shocked if either started off the season in Hartford. They've been using Boyle on an energy line with Voros and Brashear, and that has been the most consistent line the past two games. He's taken defensive zone draws and killed penalties - he's looked good, but as a poolie, it's dissapointing. I thought Boyle would amount to a solid second or third liner who would dominate the front of the net on the power-play, but Torts is basically using him as a replacement for Betts who can chip in more offense. - drury2396

They're very happy with Stamkos-Malone-St.Louis from end of last year, and training camp this year. That's pretty much in stone, those three. At least for now. you know how fickle line combos are though - Dobber

Tyler Kennedy will be the other player in the pens top six. The Pens brass has no intention of rushing Caputi or Tangradi and they don't need to. Kennedy will not only make it on Malkin's wing, but he'll score 20 this year. You heard it here first ;) - Bob Farls

Downie

Didn't downie have good chemistry with Stamkos? Why wouldn't they put him there instead? I don't think the top line is good for him either... but i could definitely see him fitting well on the second weith S.S. - lanky522
