Bluejays, the only "official" rankings I have is the Top-50 Keeper League Prospects: http://www.thegoalieguild.com/?page_id=1507

In a keeper league for those three goalies I would have to really think about who I would put first...Rinne or Hiller. I will say right here that I would go 1. Hiller 2. Rinne 3. Varlamov

It shouldn't be that confusing ... and yes you are right I'm expecting both Giguere and Ellis to play ~30 games. But those are just my expectations, not saying that's for sure how it's going to pan out. - Justin Goldman

I have been re-reading your articles on some of these guys and am somewhat confused. From my understanding Giggy and Ellis should both see 30 games. Hiller appears to be a bit higher on your rankings then Rinne and Varly? So how would you rank these 3 in a keeper league?
1) Hiller
2) Rinne
3) Varlamov
This is kinda what I'm getting from reading your "school of Block." Is that right? Do you have your own rankings based on keeper somewhere (like Dobber)? - bluejays

Some good points on the possibility of Ellis cutting into a lrage number of games, but when it all comes down to it, Rinne is too damn good and he won't be giving the job back. There will always be some bit of concern with platooning until the guy who won the job can rest assure those questions the following year. I would say Rinne plays 60+ unless he stumbles drastically which I just don't see. B/c of his age, you can throw out the sophmore gab. - bluejays

LOL Atomic Wedgy I also noticed that. I was more impressed with the 19-24 in the shootout than I was with the record when Nashville scores three goals or more... - Justin Goldman

"posting an 18-1-2 record when getting at least three or more goals of support"

If I were an NHL coach, I would be expecting this out of every one of my goalies. If my offense can contribute 3 goals or more we should be winning 95% of those games. If not, something is wrong with the system the team is using. - Atomic Wedgy

Consistency is key for goalies. And being able to handle the workload. Perhaps that is Ellis' downfall. Unless he shows he can be more consistent and handle 55-65 starts, he will be the backup. Take that to the bank. - DuklaNation

great article. I was hoping to snag Ellis in my keeper league draft this year, you just made me feel a lot better about that plan. - Alex Mullen
