What is known for MTL right now:
5 top 6 guys: Gomez, Gionta, Cammalleri, Plekanec, A. Kostitsyn

Fighting for the 6th spot: S. Kostitsyn, D'Agostini, Pacioretty, Latendresse

Coach Martin said that he will pair Gionta with Gomez, and that he doesn't think about playing Gomez, Gionta et Cammalleri together at first. No other clues from the management right now.
Latendresse was most effective last season when paired with Lapierre. I think the coach will want to keep them together, unless none of the other choices does weel in camp.

My guess for the 6th spot would be Pacioretty, because his size would be an advantage over the 2 other. With 5 of the last 6 spots taken already (Lapierre, Latendresse, Moen, Metropolit, Laraque), one of the youngter will start the season in the AHL. - Louis-Alexandre Jalbert

Chad - thanks for the heads up. Caught that this morning. Does that mean Elias moves back to C, or do they put Zubrus there?

As for MTL, not sure on the lines yet! I think Latendresse is a good guy to own as the Habs will want to add some size to their under-sized top six. I see S. Kostitsyn starting off on the 3rd or 4th line with 2nd unit PP time. He needs a big season to bounce back from his poor 2008-09. - Jeff Angus

Thanks Jeff
Not sure if you have done a similar write-up on the Habs, but I am very interested to see how the forward lines shake out; especially regarding Sergei Kostitsyn. Any thoughts? - loco man

I believe that Rolston will be moving back to Wing, from Center. Lemaire has stated that pretty much. - Chad Burly
