While he put up good numbers in the regular season, he looked lost a lot during the playoff, suggesting that he still has big-league experience to gain to round up his game. Now they can use him on a third line with Miller and Christensen, giving him the opportunity to get the experience he needs while having less responsibilities, and filling in when Koivu is injured. He should still be in line to inherit the second line spot from Koivu next year.
