Who\'s the best pick for next year ? I\'m looking for a 40-45 goals player who is not too over-rated. I would really love to have a guy like Heatley or Kovalchuk but they are not available. So who would you rather have ? I have to consider +/-, G, A, Pim, Sog, Stpts.

a) Cheechoo
b) Gagné (he is my first choice right now)
c) Nash
d) Frolov

1. Gagne - 41 goals on a disaster of a team last year. Can only get better next year in PHI. 291 shots, but no +/- or pen mins to speak of.

2. Cheechoo - 37 goals and really didn\'t catch fire until 2nd half of season. Better team, better +/- and nice pen mins. 250 shots.

3. Nash - So much potential, so young. Maybe figured out something at World Championships. Nice pen mins, not so nice +/- on Columbus.

4. Frolov - 35 goals was a surprise after 21 the year before. I really like this player, especially in LA. I think he\'s in a great situation, but would still take Nash ahead of him. Nash has potential to score more goals.

I agree with both of you about Gagne. I would make it my primary target. As The Comish said it wasn\'t the greatest year for PHI last year. Don\'t rule out the rumor saying that Biron will try to bring his old buddies (Drury and/or Brière) with him in PHI.

Nothing more to say about Cheechoo. However, I\'m not sure I would grab Nash before Kopitar. Yeah Nash shows great thing at the WC, but the core players in LA seems better.

my toght on that are really clear!!Next year i\'m sure thatPhilly will have better team (I agree on the fact that she can\'t be worst than last years) but what I can easily predict is that sanjose got a REAL STUD team for next year which is make me believe that CHEECHOO will have a great season next year. So for now on I will say....CHEECHOO with and edge just because of the team all around him.....and THORNTON too...!

Regardless, bottom line, if you\'re picking between two very evenly ranked, proven scorers, you gotta go with the guy that\'s been playing and has developed a great chemistry with an elite center.

definatly gagner his value is low right now and philly will land a big time center to play with him.
