Yes, apparently. Say what you will about the signings of Ehrhoff, Regehr, Myer's extension, the new attitude, blah, blah, blah (boring)....yawwwwwwn!
Pegula's seemingly effortless *Saunter-to-Sainthood has taken another step in the right direction.....flat screen Tvs in the restrooms, and...wait for it.....cup holders above each urinal. I crap you negative. Other less notable updates are to include (taken from yesterday's press conference, via the Buffalo News)
Not fantasy relevant directly. But it all evidences (humor aside) what I've been saying over the past few weeks. Pegula isn't merely throwing money at high end talent, w/out also investing in infrastructure from top down, thereby creating an overall and long term environment of success. When Pegula announced the locker room overhaul, Sabres fans collectively wondered: "Locker room? Updates? You can do that?!?" We're just not used to this way of thinking. A Pegula quote from yesterday's press conference "Tyler (Myers) may not win a Stanley Cup, but we'll die trying." My point being, if you have been contemplating placing any Sabres prospects on your farm....buy now. *The term Saunter-to-Sainthood is copyrighted by Bomm Enterprises & Adult Novelty Toy Emporium, Inc

Former Sabres D-man Teppo Numminen has joined the Sabres coaching staff. Can't have a better mentor for your D-men than Teppo.

Hey BB,
REALLY need to know if it time to cut bait on Boyes. Is it only gonna be third line city for him? I can't believe I am likely gonna toss him to the wire, but seeing where he lined up in practice and all, is he done, fantasy wise? I would hate to drop him and see a 60 point year, but HATE it that he is looking at third line duty. I am debating dropping him for Tyler Kennedy, who looks to be in the top six with Malkin and Sullivan. Should I just do the deed? EDIT: never mind, grabbed TK. Seeing where Boyes lined up pretty telling thanks a lot

I cannot wait to see the Foligno-Adam-Kassian line at work.... really hoping Kassian makes the team this year.

Quote:
I would like to blame it on nerves, perhaps. But they better get their shit together next game if they have any intention of making the team straight outta camp (Adam and Kassian anyway). i stand by my off season assesment that neither make the team, eventually Adam will get a call up and stick later this season and Kassian will get a few opportunities w/ the big boys, but ultimately will have to wait till 2012. Speaking of [nerves]...if anyone is wondering why Gragnani was offered only a one-year deal, look no further than Carolina's only goal of the night. Dalpe beats him to loose puck on a turnover, and..... Loved Enroth, comin in cold and stopping 11/11 shots. Absolutely loved Gerbe, Goose, and Kaleta (and you won't hear me praise Kaleta very often). They play inspired

Loco Man....sorry for the delay. Yeah, Boyes in a points only league is certainly expendable, however, in a 18 team league he might be worth hanging onto if only for depth. Good chance he's traded too, so keep an eye on that.

Cuts made on Tues per the Buffalo News:
Mark Pysyk, Buffalo's first-round pick in the 2010 draft, and West Seneca's Alex Lepokowski head the list of junior trims. The defensemen will head back to Edmonton of the Western Hockey League and Barrie of the Ontario Hockey League, respectively. Also getting sent down were: forwards Steven Beyers (Barrie, OHL), Dan Catenacci (Owen Sound, OHL), Cedrick Henley (Val D'Or, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), Steven Shipley (Niagara, OHL), Kevin Sundher (Victoria, WHL) and Gregg Sutch (Barrie, OHL); defenseman Jerome Gauthier-Leduc (Rimouski, QMJHL); and goaltender Nathan Lieuwen (Kootenay, WHL). Ryan Rondeau was returned to Laredo of the Central Hockey League.
