The Steckel comment is the right one he was the reason the PPs did good the biggest issue the Leafs have is getting into the zone and maintaining position when you win every draw clean then you have it! Then why not take his 6'-5" frame and throw it infront of the net!!

They played 15 minutes of hockey last night and got lucky! Riemer again the silent hero nothing flashy about him, but he is always in the right place positionally!

Kessel and Lupul have looked great but I would have to say that while Connoly is out that I would like to see Lombardi get more looks at C between them to me Bozak is a 3rd line C and thats all he will ever be though a good one!!

It was just one of those nights. Nothing went right for the team, and that's alright, it happens.

Now, the Leafs need to stay calm heading into Saturday, and stay confident.

Gardiner was fantastic tonight. He has to play every game. Grabovski also looked dangerous.

Gustavsson is awful...really awful.

I'd like to post a few positives about this game
they played really solid in the 2nd just Tim Thomas stone walled them
the leafs young, up and coming players all ended up a plus
Kadri +1 with a assist in 13:00 mins
Gardiner +2! 1 assist, and 23 mins of ice time
Luke Schenn played a solid game ended up +2, with a assist in 19 mins of ice time
Matt Frattin buzzed all the second period and also ended up +1 with 2 SOG and 15 mins of ice time

also when they were still close the Monster kept them in stopping a few really good Boston chances

they did get blown out but hopefully they realize that the 1st period still exists

Last game I thought was Schenn's best game! I think Gunner needs to be dropped from the top 4 in the D-corps it should be Phaneuf and Liles and Schenn and Gardiner final pair should be Franson and Gunner......people in the media need to layoff Franson the kid is a great D-man but its hard to play consistant when your not getting consistant playing time!!!

Kommy has no place on this team and should be what he was last game and thats a veteran pressence from the box!!!!!

They need to let Lomardi have a complete game on the top line btw Kessel and Lupul! Steckel should be the special team specialst PP and PK!! he's a big body in front of the net and possesion is key!! Fratten should be on the 2nd line with Grabo and Kully........Big Mac has not looked himself at all this year but a 3rd line of Mac-Bozak-Armstrong (when healthy) is a strong third line! I dont see Kadri as being as ready for the NHL as Fratten that said he will fill in well for Armstrong.

Just my thoughts.......GO LEAFS GO!!!!
