I have the opportunity to acquire Kane for Kesler in a package deal.
I'm currently rebuilding in a points-only keeper league and the GM in 1st wants my Kesler + spare parts for his Kane +. I'm thinking this is a no-brainer, but I'm a little hesitant given Kesler's monster playing this year. Is there anyone that sees any reason why I shouldn't accept this deal? How do you see these two players in 3 years? BTW, no positional requirements for forwards. |

Personally, I would take it. Though Kesler has been improving his point totals every year, I still think Kane has potential to stay on top of him in terms of points. Even though Chicago isn't doing that well this year, they will rebound and get better. That being said, I love Kesler. He's such a work horse. However, if it's only a points-only league, I'd go with Kane.
I would take the deal.

In a points only league you have to go with the Kane he is such a talent and still feel as though he has one more level that he hasnt reached yet that I think he will next year. This year has been a tough year of injuries for the kid and I think he really bounces back! Take it and good luck!

This is becoming is much tougher decision than I had originally thought. |

Kesler is blowing up no doubt but Patrick Kane has put up 70+ points every year of his career. Kesler has put up 75 points once and not gotten over 60 any other year. I love Kesler and think this season he will outscore Kane this season because Kane is battling the Cup hangover and nagging injuries. I think Kane will be back to top 10 player next season for sure he is still only 22 and in a year where is still on pace for 65-70 points in the same 65-70 games is a down year count me in on the Patrick Kane bandwagon still. He is going to be back to that 88 point level we saw him at last season. Do not think about it to much just take Kane and enjoy the benefits of it for the foreseeable future.

I'm LOVE Kesler, but in a points-only keeper, I'd move him for Kane for sure.

This is not a tough decision.... I would sell Kesler + to get Kane. Perfect example of a sell high (not that Kesler can't maintain) and buy low. Kane has a 20 point stretch on Kesler's upside and is well worth the swap. I would do it ten times over!
