Flyers looked TIRED later in the game, I think these back-to-back games are going to have a big impact, especially early on in the season. Hartnell just looked and played lazy, none of those penalties are the type of penalties you wanna see him taking, he hurt them much more than he helped tonight. Giroux looked great, he's clearly healthy and back to his old tricks

I love that the Flyers have started out 0-2. But I have a feeling they will use this as motivation and probably go on a nice little tear for 4 or 5 games now.

McGoo is right, they looked tired. Hartnell was awful. I mean, the guy lost a fight to Drew Stafford of all people. That just shouldn't happen.

Giroux is really the only player on the Flyers that consistently looked good. I still think he is going to miss Jagr but he is proving he deserves to be talked about among the leagues elite.

Bryz didn't look excellent but it's hard to when you face 40 shots in a game.

Giroux is looking good but you can see they miss the old man Jagr on that line a little bit. The Flyers definitely looked tired, playing back to back after matching up with their nemesis the Penguins would have made it hard to get up for the game from a mental and physical standpoint.

Really poor play from Philly so far. I actually had them on the outside looking in and everyone laughed at me (in real life, not here). They don't have the difference maker on D that they need, IMO. That's what they're missing.

BAHAHAHAHA! How long were you retired? I think it was like three days. Fantastic resolve. Its great of you to come out of retirement to say I told you so.

I've been on a beach holiday so I haven't seen any games yet. Can't say I'm happy with us coming out and dropping the first two games. In a 48 game season, we need to turn it around very quickly.

I'd also like to add Simmonds to that "group". He's looked strong on the puck, skating well and seems to really be taking the net-front presence role on the power-play by the reins. He's been very noticeable for the majority of his shifts. Maybe he won't surpass what he produced last season, but I think he could certainly maintain it and be considered at the top of the second-tier of power-forwards in the league behind guys like brown, backes, callahan etc.

With Hartnell out with injury, Brayden Schenn suspended and Danny Briere still out the Flyers have had to shuffle their lines. Read and Simmonds will get a chance to play with Giroux which definitely increases their fantasy value.
