Default Antropov or Stepan?

Who do you prefer in a one-year H2H league going forward, and why?

Stepan's been picking it up lately but he is still a rookie so I expect more ups and downs. Antropov hasn't been great overall but has been better of late - more reliable as the season goes on? By Yahoo's ranking, both around the same in the last month.

Categories are: G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SOG,FW,HIT,BLK.
My weaker ones are +/-,PIM and HIT,
My stronger ones are G,A,PPP,SOG,BLK,
Others middle of the pack, but don't like to make decisions solely on one or two categories.

My other centres are: E.Staal, Kesler, Weiss, Krejci, and Hanzal (start 4 daily). I'm in first place and confident of making the playoffs at least so looking longer term.

Thanks in advance.

Stepan! The kid's on fire...I picked him up in my pool and he's done wonders for me. Take him.

Thanks. However, I am looking further down the road, not just because he's on a hot streak. Do you think he can sustain it? Also, he would be my number 5/6, so may not start all the time.

doesn't start all the time for me either. I'm in a dynasty league and I'm considering keeping him even though he has an unfavourable salary. He's fantasy gold, and I can see him keeping up a solid pace all year.

Stepan. Antropov has been playing with a nagging injury all season and actually he has been sitting out the past couple of games trying to recover.

I do see him keeping it up, too. Stepan was my sleeper pick in last years waiver draft.

When a guy's name is AtlantaSportsFan and he tells you to go with Stepan over his hometown boy I think it's pretty good indication Stepan is the better option....definitely go with Stepan no question...I'd rather have even Anthony Stewart over Antroslug

I do not know much about Antropov, besides that he sucked for the NYR... but, I do know that Derek Stepan is probably the best offensive force on the NYR... I watch every game... I couldn't believe we were getting this kid while I was watching the World Juniors last year...

He plays the point on the first PP unit, and is the C on the top line with Gaborik... he averages around 17-18mins a game... as Torts plays the 4th line quite a bit bc they are also producing... Stepan is a classic NYR grinder, but with better hands than most on the team with the exception of Christiansen.

If Dubinsky is out there to, I would grab him as well... he will get you hits, some PIM's as well as some decent offensive numbers...

Thanks everyone - Stepan is unanimous. Dubinsky is long gone - it's a fairly deep league (60+ centres owned). Stepan was also owned awhile back but was dropped when he was slumping a bit.
