A frustrated GM has dropped Marleau. Should I try to pick him up? I have 2 add/drop spots available. Will he turn it around? I figure he is too good to suck this bad all year but it has been 30+ games.

I think he\'ll turn it around, but I don\'t know how good. As you said, he\'s too good to keep sucking. Do you think he\'ll clear? If you think so, wait and grab him the morning he\'s clear. If not, what\'s your waiver priority? If it\'s pretty low, then you might give it a try...

Marleau would make a very nice C3 in standard 12 team leagues for the remainder of this season. i\'d make the pickup.

I would put in the claim. He is much too talented to put up worse numbers than he has. I think he is a good bet to get it going at least a little bit and he doesnt hurt you if you have him on the roster. I understand the owner that dropped Marleau though. He has been very frustrating this season and it is much easier to bail after his bad start than it is to keep riding him hoping for the breakout. It can be very liberating when you cut ties with a player that has been dragging, even if he does get right in the end. Many league championships are won by owners knowing when to part with once Highly Valued players that arent cutting it and switching gears.
