DO you think that D. Hasek will retire at the end of the playoff? or do u think he will sign again for another year with Detroit?? let me know what you think or if u have a Link that talks about it ... thanks

He\'s played fairly spectacularly for an old guy...when he\'s in the line-up. I think that Detroit will try to re-sign him for another year, particularly considering his playoff performance. It would be easier for Detroit to do that instead of trying to fish for a new #1.

Who knows though really...? Dominik Hasek is like Brett Favre (Green Bay Packers), you never really ever know if he\'s gonna retire or not (or stay retired or not for that matter).
I would have to say though, that in my opinion, should the Wings win it this year, I think Chelios and Hasek will both go the way of the Dodo. Even if Detroit doesn\'t win it, if Detroit can find a reasonibly priced younger alternative for the goalie position (ie niklas backstrom/js giguere), I think they\'d be stupid not to jump on it. It\'s amazing that hasek\'s old bones flopping around have gotten Detroit this far... I don\'t think they honestly consider Hasek on 1 year deals to be their long term plan for the position.
