I've been dropping like a stone in our league thanks to injuries and underachivers (went from 1st to 7th in just over a month) and have been thinking about trading Gonchar and McCabe. I offered McCabe for Dell-Zotto last week to a contender, but he declined it, but today sent over MDZ for Gonchar.

I don't think it's worht it straight up, but might counter with mDZ and a pick.

Any thoughts on MDZ vs Gonchar now and in future?

Gonchar is on the decline. He won't repeat the numbers he put up in Pittsburgh, plus he's injury prone. Investing in MDZ isn't a bad idea if you're thinking future.

I see MDZ on your roster now, so I assume you did the trade? Seems like a decent move to me.

ITs a decent move but I dont expect overly big things from MDZ. His def really bites the coaching staff.

So sell him if he gets hot or just be patient and hope he learns. I loved him in JR.

I'd stick with Gonchar.

He'll pick up the pace.

i own them both and I would rather have a slumping Gonchar over MDZ any day. MDZ has been terrible since about Nov last season. He started his career with about 14 pts in his first 20 games and in the last 100games or so has about 25-30 pts, his ice time is down to 4th or 5th among NYR dmen.....you might say im a little pissed... the only thing he has going for him at this point is his age.
