Based on the % owned difference, it is clear that the masses like Subban more than Pietrangelo, but wondering what kind of a difference people here think there is between them?
Both short term and long term, is Subban that much more valuable than Pietrangelo? I have Subban and to be honest I am already sick of dealing with these scratches- not to mention they played well again without him and so this scratch BS could continue. On top of that, Pietrangelo has more points and a much higher draft pedigree (for what thats worth)... Just curious about what people think, not rishing the decision at this point. |

Either one is a good option. Pietrangelo has looked better so far but PK seems to have more value in a multi-cat league. Don't worry about the scratches, Picard or Webber will be taken out soon enough, much like Ottawa did with Karlsson...although that little experiment didn't work out.
I would probably stick with PK in a multi cat and Pietrangelo in a points only but if you could get both, by all means, do that.

Depends on the categories in your league. If hits and PIMs are a part of it, he's contributing to that more so than Pietrangelo. But I think they are too high on him to scratch him for much longer.

Great question, I am curious as well about Subban. Hits are just starting to get used, but all my leagues use PIMs.
But is Subban really going to be good for PIMs? Like when you guys say he will get more PIMs, do you mean your predicting he's going to be a 100 PIM guy? Or you mean he'll get 50 PIM, its just Piet will get like 20? What kind of gap are we talking about in terms of PIMs for future predictions between the two? |

Its a multi-category, H2H keeper league, PIMs are a category but hits and blocked shots are not.
In terms of the PIMs, I agree it seems like Subban will get more, but I too am curious about how many more. If I remember correctly, the bulk of Subban's PIMs have come from a couple different occasion and they are not really that spread out. The problem there is that it may help one week but not another... and also if you take those two or three times out of the equation his PIMs are not all that high. Also, my guess is unless he wants to get back in the doghouse that he will be avoiding getting penalties from here on out. The one thing PK seems to do better with is SOG, but other than that it seems that, at least at the current time, Pietrangelo has more potential in the other categories. I am obviously skeptical of dropping Subban otherwise I would have already done it, but I am just worrying that I may be wrong and that Pietrangelo has more potential now and in the future, regardless of how flashy or "dynamic" Subban seems to be. Hard decision, to be honest! |

Like others here, I think its a toss up. Doesnt help that both teams are lacking offense up front.

I see Subban as 70-80 PIM which is very good these days as PIM/points combos are hard to come by. AP should be around 40 PIM/ yr. Not a huge difference but maybe enough to sway a choice.

Oh wow! Anybody else seeing that? Subban being a 80 PIM guy?? I agree with you that would a big enough of a gap to easily sway my choice. An extra 40 PIM could be an extra 2-3 spots in the PIM standing.

My guess is that if he starts getting that many penalties he will be right back in the press box....
