Dobbers' defence rankings change DRAMATICALLY from month to month. It's almost funny how much they change. IMO, the rankings should not be so volatile.

My Top 10:

Green - Doughty - Keith - Boyle - Letang - Byfuglien - Weber (value would increase if he left NSH) - Enstrom - Yandle - Carlson

I personally think everyone's list should have Green, Doughty, Keith as the top 3.

I just paid an arm and a leg for Doughty, and watched him drop to 13th in Dobber's dman rankings. So I'd hate for Dobbs to be right.

That said, I could probably still flip Doughty for Buff right now, as I'm a contender and Buff's owner is rebuilding.

Buff has 27 points in 25 games, and seems to be heating up rather than cooling down.

Plus, Buff is averaging more than 4 shots per game, which is unheard of for a defenseman. Buff has 102 shots. The next highest dman are Chara and Weber with 78 and 76.

I hear ya, man.

I'm not knocking Buff or any of you for having this discussion, I'm just amazed at the situation entirely. What would you have said about this discussion 2 months ago? It's simply unbelievable what this guy has done so far.

I sure as hell didn't see this one coming.

Couldn't agree more!
