I don't mean to bone-pick here, but the home page is simply not being honest here. Dobber's 07/08 pool guide had this to say about Vlasic...and I quote, "Vlasic is the QB of the future, but he will be several years getting there." It also had his upside pegged at 58 points [8 higher than Ehrhoff].
These projections are dynamic and often players fail to achieve up to our expectations. Fair enough. Vlasic may never have been touted as 'elite' offensively. Fair enough. Most of us were expecting much more than what he's delivered. At least admit that you 'swung and missed'. Don't say he's never been billed as offensive...that's exactly what he was billed as...albeit a developing project in that regard.

Maybe Angus means "he" never billed Vlasic as offensive. Not sure what to make of that statement, because I agree that there was a time not long ago when a number of people were saying that Vlasic was an elite offensive dman in the making, some pointing out his decent final season in junior (73 pts in 66 games) and others his decent rookie season (26 pts) and yet others his 36 pt season two years ago.
Personally, I never knew what to make of him, but I know others touted him as an offensive defenseman.

I didn't write the guide, Dobber did.
We have different opinions. Some billed him as offensive, but I think what these people really saw as a good skating defenseman on a great offensive team. Vlasic has never shown much offensive creativity/ability - he is a great skater but he can't shoot and he doesn't really get involved offensively at all.

What makes this site so great is that we hear the opinions from a variety of perspectives. The ramblings were written in a way that sounded like you were speaking on behalf of the site as a whole and that's where I was taking issue with it, b/c Vlasic has been bandied about over the preceding years as offensive both in the guide and on these boards...if not by you personally. Fair enough.
