Studs

Chicago Blackhawks - St-Louis Blues game (Chicago wins 7-5)

In a game that involved 12 goals, there were a few big nights from multiple players. The Tomas Kopecky who stormed out of the gate at the start of the season decided to show up last night with a 4 point performance (1 G, 3 A). Toews and Kane were also big on the fantansy wire last night with Toews chipping in 2 G and 1A along with 4 shots. Kane also had 2 G and 1 A to go with 4 PIMS and 3 shots. On the losing end of this game Backes and Sobotka also had big night for theirs teams with Backes adding 4 points (1 G, 3 A), and Sobotka getting 3 assists.

Pekka Rinne
Pekka Rinne outdueled Ilya Bryzgalov in this game picking up his 3rd shutout of the season. He made and outstanding 33 saves in the game. Well done sir.

King Henrik
In a rematch of last year's western conference semi final, the Red Wings got a little play back when they beat the Sharks 5-3. Henrik Zetterberg came up huge in this game as he got 4 points. (2G, 2A)

Honorable mention

Simon "injury prone" Gagne

In his first game back, Simon Gagne played a great game for Tampa picking up 2 points(1G, 1A). I really wanted to put this guy as a stud, but he chose to come back from injury on a night where a lot of players had big nights. However, his one goal was the OT winner.

Dustin Byfuglien

"Big Buff" added to his already impressive totals picking up 1 G and 1 A. He also added a whopping 9 shots on goal. He's got my vote for the Norris trophy if he plays like this all season.

Duds

The toronto maple leafs

I really hate the leafs and ironically enough, I hate picking on them. But they make it really difficult for me not to. The leafs really should have won this game. They were 9 seconds away from the win but they couldn't lock it down. Tampa Bay tied it late in the 3rd, then put the leafs away quickly in OT. Martin St-Louis potted 2 goals in this game. The Monster would have been a stud if they would have won because he made a lot of quality saves in this one. I bet I know what Gustavsson is gonna ask for christmas ( *cough* better defence *cough*)

Ty Conklin

For those of you in deep leagues and have backup goalies, I bet it really sucked having Ty Conklin in net last night. Sure, I know playing against Chicago can be tough sometimes but Conklin played awful allowing 7 GA on only 24 shots. that makes for a measily .708 save percentage. I don't think he'll be stealing the starting job from Halak anytime soon.

Patrick Marleau

In a game where all the big guns put up points for their teams, Marleau was a no show in this one. I didn't see the game or the hightlights so it's possible he might have had some chances to score, but no points and -3 isn't fantasy relevant if you own this guy.

I couldn't really find an honorable mention for a dud, but please feel free to comment below if you notice anything.
