Washington Capitals & Alex Ovechkin -( Yeah I know big deal, so what he's always a stud) had a helper and then sealed the fate of the 'Canes with a SO talley and 7 SOG. Caps are now 17-6-2


Eric Staal- in a losing effort but records 1 G and 1 A 7 SOG. He was a stud for his team tonight.

Duds

Tuuka Rask- 4 goals on 22 shots now falls to 1-6-1

Steve Mason - Not the easiest of matchups against Detroit, but nonetheless still a loss and blah performance from him.

Rick Nash - these division games you gotta show up, he got zero's across the board, no points, no pims, no SOG. Nada,no bueno, nothing... sit down and go home.
