Don't get me wrong I think he and the Hab will have decent numbers all season long, but he can't possibly keep up this pace. Can he?
The Luongo owner in my league seems a bit frustrated and is a Habs fan, so maybe I can upgrade at forward in some type of deal involving these two goalies. This week seems like the perfect time to make a push. My theory is that Luongo's stats have to improve, while Price's have to take a dip. True or false?

I agree with your theory, and I may be alone in what I'm about to say, but I think in the end their numbers meet in the middle and are a wash.
I'd keep Price unless you can swing a really good with the Luongo owner. I believe the light has come on for Price, throw in the motivation to prove the doubters wrong and that is powerful medicine. I'd sound him out and see just what he's willing to offer, it never hurts anyway.

I think Lui-Price this year is a wash. See what you can get, but unless you can get a significant upgrade for your team somehow, stand pat.

Agreed. Price is on such a roll now that it might be best to continue riding it out (right now his numbers are huge for any pool). Unless there's some kind of major upgrade stick with Price.

this Habs team is playing D like the Devils of the latter 90s...not stylistically so much (though they do use a trap) but more in how the whole team buys into the defensive scheme as a means to create offense...and then when you finally screw up, they use their speed to transition quickly and generate scoring chances.
Look at Marty's numbers during the 90s (and early 2000s), he's a great goalie to be sure, but he wouldn't have posted numbers like that on a run and gun team. If I owned Price I'd be pumped, it looks like he's finally playing with confidence the way we've all been waiting for, and Martin's system in MTL is going to help shield him a lot. I've always thought Luongo was overrated and I think he's jumped the shark a bit by this point in his career. Add to that the simple fact that he plays in that tough conference and I don't think he's that sexy an option anymore, I'd keep Price unless you can get a great return on him

I watch the Habs - Leafs game last night and he seems to be so calm and very fluid with ease of movement all the while staying very tall in net. He seems to be all the way back.

Alright well I would easily take Luongo over Price as Luongo is the more proven two...on the much better team...is a consistent top 5 netminder in the league..very tecnically sound..and who gets the much better offensive support...swapping out Price for Luongo is an easy move for me as we're merely 6 weeks into the year and people are treating Price like he's a former Vezina winner when he doesn't even have a full season under his belt...I'd definitely take Luongo
