I have the first overall pick in my keeper league (yes, I sucked this year) and have the opportunity to pick Paul Stastny as an undrafted player from last year.

Goals and Assists are both worth a point. No points for +/- or penalty miniutes. I am looking for immediate help.

What do folks think ofhim. Real deal? Can he score at the same clip in the future once Sakic retires and he is the man there? Would like to get your opinions.

Stastny is a great talent. Who else is available for the draft though?

He is the real deal. You may see a slight decline in his points this year though - maybe 70 or so. After that, he will be a steady 75 to 85-point guy. Sound like someone you want?
