I'm starting to wonder if I should keep targeting Brodeur, what a cluster **** that team is. Ah **** it, I'm desperate, I'll keep targeting the man.

My team had clawed it's way up to 4th in our league, but this could be a major blow to my chances.

I'm a little confused. I'm not sure if Dobber saw the game and knows what happened or if he is just speculating in the ramblings for the sake of information-relay... but either way, it didn't look like a bad injury. he collided with someone and his legs got all torqued up and they kind of did something whacky. i thought it was a groin injury at first. it's tough to explain.
but... after it happened, he skated fast right over to the bench, and hopped the boards. all on his own power. a player with a serious knee injury wouldn't do that.

well TSN and several other sources are speculating that he could be out longer rather than shorter so I think Dobber is just passing on that information.

The best I can find so far is the TSN article and this similar article. This article has a little more depth on the situation (including a lot of comments by players that I found interesting).
http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2...home_with.html Here's the Crib Notes on everything so far - Parise was injured in a collision with Kyle Clifford. - He was visibly in discomfort to his right leg (the knee is suspected). - Parise and Lou Lamoriello flew back to NJ after the game. The tone of the article is fairly pessimistic, but I'll let people make up their own minds about how serious the situation is. |
