Default EJ or Hedman

Who would you rather have in the keeper league below. I know that both of these guys are projected to be very good but I am starting to get worried that EJ is not going to be the man in St Louis. They just have too many options and he has not been on the top PP unit lately. Meanwhile, TB is developing into something special and Hedman is definitely the number one guy. What are your thoughts?

I'll take EJ over Hedman, but I also like the big Swede. I just think EJ is a little ahead in development. Long-term is a coin toss for me.

I'd take Hedman any day of the week. EJ is starting to look to me like he's not going to be the offensive QB that he was suppose to be. For all the reasons you mentioned above, I'd role with Hedman. Better opportunity certainly and if he can man the Tampa PP, I would bet he out points EJ sooner rather than later.

Both EJ and Hedman lead their respective teams in Avg TOI. Hedman averages 2:20 PPTOI, 3rd D and 8th overall on team, while EJ averages 3:12 PPTOI, 2nd D, 9th overall on team. Pretty much a wash in PPTOI.

EJ had 33 points in 69 games in his rookie year. Hedman had 20 points in 74 rookie games played. EJ missed his entire 2nd season due to a torn ACL. In his third NHL season, EJ had 39 points.

Hedman is off to a very good second season with 6 points in 10 games, while EJ only has 3 points in 9 games.

I'd give the edge to EJ, but I also like Hedman. Had the pleasure of watching them both closely at the World Juniors and give the edge to EJ - he was dominant. Cool as a cucumber.

Man that's a tough one. I might give the edge to Hedman this year, but that's more due to him playing w/ St. Louis, Stamkos and Downie than anything else.

They both rock and will continue to evolve into better offensive talents.

Realistically, I think both will be somewhat similar in terms of production. Solid but not spectacular.

I like EJ and the overall talent that will be in St. Louis for the future. Stamkos in unbelievable but St. Louis is getting up there and he is the straw that stirs that drink.

I'll take Hedman. His Sel numbers are insane so he has the offensive pedigree, just might be a while before he gets there. Plus he puts up his fair share of PIM and is on a team where he doesn't really have any long term competition for pp qb whereas ej has Pietrangelo.

I gotta give the egde to Hedman.

Only because I read a lot of reports. Things I see is that Hedman gets compared to Lidstrom and EJ gets compared to Bouwmeester.

While both are extremely valuable to their clubs....you know which one is most valuable for fantasy purposes.

I think Hedman is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.
