I'm so glad I finally traded Letang after owning him for 3 seasons!
jk...I knew it was only a matter of time and part of me does regret moving him, but I needed help in net and trading Letang got me Anderson and a decent pick. As long as Anderson resigns with the Avs (and doesn't become a one-year rental for me), I won't have any long-term regrets about giving up Letang. Goalies are harder to come by and more valuable in our league. And besides, I own Letang in one of my other leagues.

Dunno if you guys saw the pens 2nd SH goal last night, but it was a beauty read by tanger to jump up and create a 2 on 1 after the pens forced a turnover in their own zone. Letang actually ended up with a partial breakaway from the blue line in. Kid is the real deal! And although I've never been a big gogo supporter he has actually looked very good this season too, save for the last game or two...

Letang has definitely been the most impressive PIT D-man, IMO.
Goligoski started the season with some phenomenal offensive contributions on the PP. Martin probably has been the least exciting, but most consistent. The PIT PP has been brutal last three games. 0/15. Unacceptable PHI 3 - PIT 1: PIT 0/6. Goli 6:56, Letang 4:07, Martin 3:50. (Goli/Letang allow bad SH against) TB 5 - PIT 3: PIT 0/5. Goli 8:47, Letang 4:56, Martin 1:09. STL 1 - PIT 0: PIT 0/4. Goli 5:10, Letang 5:40, Martin 2:20. PP SHAKE-UP COMING? |

Do you guys see any similarities in BOTH Giroux's SHGs this season vs the Penguins?
Oct 7 SHG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGnqUhTkia8 Oct 29 SHG http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/con...nav-video-main see the Giroux goal. Hopefully Letang can soon get over these brain farts. Goligoski with a poor back check on the play too. |
