I think Dobber needed to read the latest Trade Fever article

Some interesting teams, but if Dobber wins the pool this year then I will be a HAPPY Oiler fan I imagine.

Love seeing the different strategies of LW first or D first or G first.

Mike Colligan drafted my team for me (I had to work late). He did a fantastic job.

Love the reference Doulos! I wasn't going to say it, but Dobber does have a lot of faith in his rookies. I wouldn't be so confident, especially owning both. Just can't see it happening.

I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong though... if he wins

Also, kudos to Mike Colligan! That is one fine team, wish I had that much confidence in a buddy to draft my pool like that haha.

Why would I choose a rookie of the year, and sell my product based on such notions, and then not select him in a round where the alternative C's were 65-point players and Savard? Given that Eberle will be RW eligible to boot?

And Hall, at worst 50points, 50 PIM. At best, he does what I put him at - 70 points, 50 PIM. Minimal risk.

Only other rookie I took was Subban. C'mon, the D available were all 50 point at best. Subbs is in that crowd, but with PIM upside.

As I said in my Guide analysis - never in the history of this league, have I left a draft so happy with my team. Top to bottom, ALL categories (not just some).

Now, the Savard news hurts, but I even covered myself off for that (and I took him 180th - Horcoff has been the best Oiler today) (it won't cripple me).

*shakes head* it's easy to have faith in my rookies - when they are Hall, Eberle and Subban (my Calder 1-2-3?)

Anyway, if Savard plays 65 games, I win this league. If not, I'm 4th at best.

Don't second guess Eberle and Savard picks here.

Eberle might have been a few picks early, but he was on my queue and was probably my pick for the next round.

As for Savard, you took him 2 picks before mine and he was going to be my pick. This late, I don't think it wasn't risky at all.

For those not aware, Dobber has the write up done of the Expert draft in the Guide. BUT IT NOW, BUY IT TODAY!

There are a lot of solid rosters (duh, it is the expert league) and I can't wait to see how it all shakes out.

Again to those that have not ever bought the guide, DO IT TODAY! What other guide can you purchase with this kind of great information and redownload after every update to roster and injury news. Not other fantasy guide can do that. Go to the store and click BUY.

For the Rookies, it's simply an issue of confidence. The last two seasons, we've had 55-57 point rookies topping the list (Duchene @ 55, Ryan @ 57). Looking past that there was 3 good years of rookies with Kane (72), Malkin (85) and obviously Ovechkin/Crosby (100+) topping lists.

Where will Hall and Eberle land this season? We'll soon see. In your case Dobber, Hall is a LW (where it's slim pickings) and Eberle will probably give him dual eligibility so that definitely factors in. While they could be stellar picks, and they definitely can be, you simply put a lot of faith (that I personally wouldn't have) in the EDM duo.

Subban on the other hand.... well... kidding

At the end of the day, I definitely use your guide in all of my pools and can only say good things. Just a small case of sticking it to the MAN! haha... Good luck!

By the way, adding this draft to the guide is icing on the cake.
