Turris might be going to college but his skill level does not support that he is 4 years away from the NHL. A lot of his future will be dictated by who drafts him and the depth of the organization. (It has been stated that Philadelphia and Phoenix have interest.) Turris still has to develop physically. He will be a star at the college level. His development, at the College level, will probably be significant enough that that whichever organization drafts him will want to sign him to a contract sooner rather than later. I would be willing to suggest that he will be in the NHL in two years.

It is unfortunate that his team was elimated in the first round of the playoffs. He could have got a lot more exposure should his team have advanced in the playoffs and/or he had been traded to a contending team during the regular season. His ranking to the top of International Scouting happened at about the time that his team was elimated from the playoffs.

I am with Dobber regarding Mr. Turris. I rate him very high.

He seems to have all the skills to be a good player, but hes playing in a low quality league to be the first overall pick. Who knows if he can brgins those skills to the next level. I really like Voracek and Cherapanov. Kane, Cherapanov, Turris, Voracek, Van Riesmdyk could probably all be in consideration for the number 1 pick.

They were talking about Turris going to college and then coming out after one year, like what Erik Johnson is doing.

Turris is going to stay in college for the full term unless he suddenly gains an inch and 50 pounds of muscle in one year, because that\'s how much work his body needs to get him to the next level.
