Why do you want to trade Kane for Briere? What are you gaining. Is this a 1 year or a keeper? If it is a one year this is OK. If it is a keeper, Kane will be a 90 pt guy next year or the year after. Then you are throwing Gerber on top? Keep Kane. Keep Datsyuk. Pick up a goalie FA and throw Gerber on the burner.
