Based on my understanding and on what Russ said in the Rules Discussion thread (http://www.dobberhockey.com/index.ph...t=69245&page=5), I think you're right:

7. No Farm Team, but rosters will increase from 25 to 30 at the five round draft. All teams will have to cut down to 25 max (incl IR) at the conclusion of the playoffs. Cap will remain at $1000

Ok, so we trim our roster at the end of the season rather than prior to the draft. That's good.

It should be simpler next year to see who is available if all our teams are in Fantrax. I imagine we can just draft there, as well.

I was only surprised by a few. I was hoping guys bypassed Smith since a few Smiths already appear in the list. Figured guys might forget about Salei, too.

I have to admit, though, Crazy made a sweet pick with Babchuk..I think I'm the one who dropped him when he went to the K. Forgot all about him here, even though I had plans for him as a late pick in my other leagues. Disclaimer: Smack can't read this.

Thanks for posting this Chic. One minor change we will discuss is shortening the draft to three rounds and then we would only have to drop 3 players to get down to 27. That will be up for discussion later.

Rad - Definitely plan on using the Fantrax live draft. Never used it before, but it's got to be better than a slow draft like what we are doing here.

Hi Russ,

When does Free Agency open? I imagine quite a few of us will be dropping KHL guys. Plus some guys may be under the 30 player roster limit due to trades or missed/lack of draft picks.

I imagine that FA will open once you fire up Fantrax. I also imagine our FA moves prior to the season start will count against the 25 moves we are allowed....
