Just to throw another wrench into things...

After doing a bit of research for my article this week, Jokinen actually has plenty of uses if you aren't in big need for the points.

Despite his struggles he still does have a 0.89 point-per-game average since the lockout... 0.74 if you want to look at the last 3-year totals... which isn't that bad really in the grand scheme of things. 0.89 = 73 points, 0.74 = 60 points...

It's the peripheral stuff that you don't get with many of the equivalent centers that will create more value for Jokinen.

0.93 PIMs/game since lockout.
0.87 PIMs/game last 3 years.

3.75 SOG/game since lockout.
3.39 SOG/game last 3 years.

0.33 PPP/game since lockout.
0.28 PPP/game last 3 years.

So despite all of his negative press, the peripheral stats definitely makes up for the lack of points. Since his value is so low, you could probably snag him with a 10th round or later pick and still be laughing at what he provides...

Assuming he sticks with a full 82 game schedule and the numbers of the past 3 years...

A line of 60 points, 71 PIMs, 23 PPP, and 278 SOG would look fairly nice, especially if you place it next to Mike Richard's 62 points, 31 PPP, 79 PIMs, and 237 SOG that he put up last season.

More on him and a few like him on Tuesday when my article is up.

Yeah in a multi-category league he might get pushed down the list by people that just don't like him. Centers are a dime a dozen especially in his pts area, so getting a guy that contributes across the board could be a difference maker in your pool.

Nice dig on Olli's stats.

Great work on the Olli stats. I picked him up in the 9th round of my 16 team draft and I am very happy about it
