I completely agree with the To Veto or Not To Veto article from a little while ago....and believe that vetos should not happen...outside collusion. And, never has there ever truly been something grandiose...or outreagous in our league.
However, something has just come up....which has me second guessing..... The league....10 team, semi-keeper. we keep 3 players every year.... the trade Team A (first place) gets: Frolov Cammaleri Perry Pronger Gerber Team B (9th out of 10) gets: Zetterberg Eric Godard Budaj Okay....so basically Team B is giving up on this year.....but wants to build his keepers up for next year.... so he is trading the lot for zetterberg. I know its not collusion....and Team A...pretty much would win this year..... BUT am I just thinking the severity in the lopsidedness means it justifies a veto? or is it just unfortunate for all teams but Team A.... Cause technically team B gets what they want.... right? just ideas on this would help Thanks

Hmmm... That is pretty unfair in my opinion. Now, I can see how a league that keeps only 3 players could be a problem. I imagine you can just do this every year.
I don\'t think it\'s collusion, but the league is definitely broken in my opinion. |

I dont think it is as horrible as it seems. Also if the guy in 10th really has no chance, I can see it as a good move for him for next year. I dont get it though. Its only like 20 games into an 82 game season and people are already giving up. I know fantasy isnt 82 games, but it usually lasts till about March, and then play offs come around.

Thats just brutal. I hate vetos and I am usually against it but a trade like that would ruin the league. Team A wins and everyone else has no chance. Everyone might as well give up as there would be no more reason to compete. Even though its a keeper league and he\'s trying to secure his keeper for next year he is overpaying big time and ruining it for everyone else this year. I sound exactly like our Commish which i argue with all the time about vetoing trades but in this case i would definitely veto it because its not fair to help someone win and ruin it for everyone else.
