Band Aid Boys - Taking Nominations

for downgrades there\'s a clear criteria - playing 79 games a season. The question is whether one season is enough to satisfy the criteria; obviously, if not, since I assume the list had been originally generated taking into account the 05-06 season, then nobody who managed to meet this criteria in 06-07 should be considered until 07-08 is done - in other words, no changes till the end of the season. Personally, I would change the criteria from 79 in one season to 77 in two consecutive seasons.
Of the trainees, only Horton (82), M Koivu (82), S Koivu (81), Nagy (80), R Niedermayer (82), Olesz (75 + 4 in the A), Prucha (79), Samsonov (63 + 17 as a healthy scratch), Souray (81), Tkachuk (79), Doug Weight (82), Ray Whitney (81) and Zubrus (79) make the criteria. Of those, all except M Koivu, Niedermayer and Olesz have been injury free this season and thus should be considered for release from the list if one year is enough to meet the criteria. Niedermayer only missed 3, and Koivu only 2, so they still have the chance to make the criteria this year.
BTW, Gagne (76), Klesla (75), Nash (75), Nolan (76), Pitkanen (77), Van Ryn (77) and Todd White (77) come close. Of those, Klesla, Nash, Nolan and White have been injury free so far.
Of the certifieds, only Scott Walker (81) met the criteria, and he\'s already missed 15 games this season. Hecht (76), Legwand (78), and Sturm (76) came close to the criteria, and all three have been injury free this season. So I\'d say no certified has earned downgrading to trainee.
Personally, I would take R Niedermayer, S Thornton, S Walker and McCauly off the list simply because they lack fantasy importance. If you keep them, you should include people like Mike Peca and Niklas Wallin
Promotions: there\'s no set criteria, though maybe there should be. Off the top of my head, some recent \'repeat offenders\' not on either list:
Trainees: Fernandez (could even be considered for certification), maybe Ethan Moreau, maybe Huet (one hit wonder, could recur), maybe Gionta (if groin recurs), Di Pietro (lots of little injuries and one big one since the lockout), Marek Malik (maybe even certified, but of questionable fantasy value even when healthy), maybe Patrick Eaves (current injury 3rd in 8 months), maybe Emery (second wrist injury in two seasons), Clowe, maybe Sundin (if he misses some games again this year, as he did in each of the last two), Semin (3 different injuries in two years), maybe Poti (something minor in each of the last 4 seasons)
Certified: Wellwood (two recurring sports hernias ... )
From trainee to certified: Lehtinen (second time he misses a big number of games with a groin injury), Leopold (second wrist injury and 4th major injury overall in two years), and maybe Schneider (just too many injuries and given his age)
I wouldn\'t include Straka as this is his first major injury since the lockout. I wouldn\'t certify Gagne as all of his injuries were minor. I wouldn\'t certify Pitkanen yet as his injuries last year were very minor and the current one is not a recurrence of the one from 2 years ago. I wouldn\'t certify Souray because last year he only missed one game and the year before only 7. I wouldn\'t certify Van Ryn because he only missed 4, 2 and 3 in the last three seasons.

walker is of fantasy significance in deeper pools, he gets points and pim\'s. Certainly not comparable to Wallin.
