Welcome to my second annual Playoff Pool.

Let's see if you can pick the series winners during this year's NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.


Rules:

(1) You make picks for each Round as they take place, so to start you only pick for Round 1.


(2) All picks for each Round must be in before that particular Round starts.

Example: All picks for Round 1 must be in before 7pm eastern on opening night (date to be posted) ... No Exceptions!!

Anyone who places or edits their picks after this time will be eliminated. Once a Round starts I will post an excel file with everyone's picks as soon as I can.

Edit: Can I even post an excel file with the new boards? If not I will post the link to a Google document.


(3) You only get the bonus points for correct number of games if you have picked the winning team.

Example: Let's say it's Team A vs Team B in Round 1, and you pick Team A in 6 games. If Team A wins in 6 games you get points for picking Team A and bonus points for picking the correct number of games. If Team B wins in 6 games, you get nothing.


(4) Point System:

Round 1:
Winning Team: 20 points
Correct Number of Games: 10 point bonus
Total Points Available: 240


Round 2:
Winning Team: 30 points
Correct Number of Games: 15 point bonus
Total Points Available: 180


Round 3 (Conference Finals):
Winning Team: 45 points
Correct Number of Games: 25 point bonus
Total Points Available: 140


Round 4 (Stanley Cup Final):
Winning Team: 65 points
Correct Number of Games: 35 point bonus
Total Points Available: 100

Tie Breakers:
(1) Picked Stanley Cup winning team.
(2) Picked correct number of games in the Finals, and Stanley Cup winning team.
(3) Most series winners picked from the 15 total series during Playoffs.

The points for each series increase with each Round during the Playoffs to allow people an opportunity to try and catch the leaders.

The total points available each Round decrease, so that people who do well all through the Playoffs are rewarded.

I will post the 8 Round 1 matchups next Monday along with my picks.
