Hey Mr. Angus

You're a Canucks fan right? What are Shirokov's chances of a roster spot next season? How's he been doing down the stretch in Manitoba?

Thanks!

If Crosby ever somehow gets an elite winger, I could see 140+. However, he simply won't get enough assists playing with likes of Kunitz etc. to get over 125-130 points. Ovechkin will always more more goal heavy, and key to huge seasons is the assist number.

which would you dress?
Kopitar far and away. Always take the best player, unless it is one game to four, or something like that.

Enstrom.

Thanks Angus!
A bit of a shot in the dark obviously...

Kadri - 75-85
OEL - 45-55
MPS - 65-75
Kulemin - 65-75
Simmonds - 65-75

Kadri and MPS are longer shots (same with OEL), as the others are already proven NHL players.

2nd question, any insight on what can be expected fantasywise out of LA D prospect Colten Teubert and Atl D prospect Ivan Vishnevskiy?

Thanks for your time Angus!!!
Yes it was. Schremp will always be a bubble player because of his skating.

Teubert has no hockey sense at all - he has gotten by to this point with great size and a really nasty streak. I don't see him becoming much of an NHL player to be honest.

Vishnevskiy has had a very disappointing year in the AHL - he was expected to contend for a spot with Dallas this season. He could become a 30-40 guy, or bolt back to Russia.

on a more serious note, which goalie who's not a starter in the NHL today has the best chance of landing a starter's gig for next season(I'd consider Leighton as a non-starter for this question).

Thanks!
Haha - the spam never ceases to amaze me.

Great question... Leighton is not a starter and I don't see him developing into one. Harding, perhaps? Dan Ellis?

2. Can you rank the following D for next year Bieksa, Coburn, Pitkanen, Visnovsky, Hedman, Seabrook, Del Zotto.

Scoring in Sig
Downie. Better player. 50 points, lots of misconducts!

Hard to rank a lot of players... I'll give you my top three:

1) Visnovsky
2) Hedman
3) Pitkanen (yes, I am showing some love for Joni!)

So, I've got Vanek as a keeper right now, but might be able to upgrade him to Eric Staal. Question is, how much is it worth to upgrade, considering my league uses a salary cap and Staal makes $1.1 million more than Vanek, and the price to upgrade is steep (likely going to cost me multiple draft picks and multiple high-end prospects, plus Vanek). Do you think it is worth it?

BTW, points only and no positional requirements.
Depends what prospects? 1.1 doesn't seem like a huge jump in money.

When Lupul gets back healthy I'm going to have to drop someone to make room for him. Team in signature and I'm really unwilling to drop a goalie, so who would you kick out and why? Maybe 2-3 candidates?

Thanks in advance!

I am in a 12-team H2H keeper league (keep 10 players) and just about to start the playoff quaterfinals this coming week as the #3 seed. Offensive stat categories are G, A, Pts, +/-, PIM, PPP, GWG, SOG.

I have been holding onto Milan Michalek all year at LW despite his poor numbers. As a Sens fan I have seen him play quite a bit and feel his stats should be better playing on the top line with Spezza and Alfredsson but I'm aware I could be inflating his value, too.

I have 5 undecided keeper slots (1-C, 2-LW, 2-RW) to fill with Roy, Fleischmann, J. Jokinen, Elias, Antropov, Clarkson, Pominville, and Michalek.

Should I drop Michalek for Tuomo Ruutu? Who would you pick to fill my 5 remaining keeper spots for next year?

Thanks for doing this!
I'd keep Michalek over Ruutu. Welcome to the site as well!

As for the keepers...

Clarkson for sure.

Elias, Roy as well. That gives you one C, one LW, and one RW. The final two... Jokinen (I like his chemistry with Staal) and its a toss up between Flash and Michalek.
