Default Need Trade Advice...

My team and league info are in the signature below...

I am STILL in 4th, but there are alot of stats to be from the skaters and 2 of the 3 teams ahead of me are 'over' on their games played. I have been trying to get good value for Phaneuf, but I may have waited too long. I was offered Nash straight up, but we have to Keep a 'D' and I wouldn't be Keeping Nash.

I need FW's (which Datsyuk shares with Zetterberg), goals and PPP....

So what are your thoughts on this trade helping me NOW???

I get: P.Stastny(C), L.Eriksson(RW/LW), A.Markov(D)

I give: P.Datsyuk(C), R.Bourque(RW/LW), D.Phaneuf(D)

Thanks!

Check out Markov's status. Otherwise a good move.

i agree with dilly. if Markov is healthy then its a good move because he is perhaps considered the best offensive D-man in the league other than Green. The key to this i think is Erikson, who is a big upgrade to the slumping and injured Borque. His role with the Stars is only going to increase. Statsny is arguably a better keeper than the aging Datsuk as is he playing with an up and coming offensive Av's team.

The other thing to consider is the fact that you are loaded with keeper C's-- Malkin Sedin Staal are bonafide keepers in a 5 keeper pool. So that leaves you with 2 spots for Hossa, Statsny, Markov and Cammmaleri. So what you could do is try to flip 2 of those guys for an elite LW or RW. The owner of Kovalchuk might be worried about him defecting to the KHL so he might be a good target. Try to pick a guy with a weak keeper squad and offer him a 2 or 3 for 1 come season's end.

The big question is Markov's health; see how he responds in the first couple Olympic games and make the move. I think this trade will put you in better contention this year and next (with keeping Statsny).
