I currently sit in fifth position in my H2H league with a 120-104-28 record (team in signature). Third position team currently has a 120-92-39 so is within reach. Pretty happy with the team as I picked it up in mid-December in 11th position and climbed steadily in the rankings.
With the Olympic break and playoffs coming, I figure it's a good time to assess if this team is playoff ready. This is my first H2H experience so I'd really appreciate your help on this. Notable FAs include : Tyutin, Kotalik, Cleary, Byfuglien, Wisniewski, Stralman, S.Koivu, Pouliot(IR), Sturm, Bergfors, Lombardi, Recchi, Hecht, Glencross and it gets uglier. I have Bieksa and Kostitsyn coming back from injuries after the Olympic break. I was hanging on to Liles in case he gets traded but am unsure if it's worth it. Does any name in the FA list jumps out? Does anyone on my team doesn't belong? Thanks! |

Would be helpful to have positional requirements., how many C, W, D and G you play each week.
I assume there are no goalies available on waivers? I say that because, if you want to compete this year, you'll have to deal with a possible season ending injury to Ward and Smith is not a great 2nd goalie to rely on. As for other positions, C is by far the strongest. LW and D are somewhat week too. I'd look to bolser D and LW in your shoes. On D, the possible adds are Stralman, Tyutin and Wisniewski, but not sure they are really any better options than what you have especially with Bieska returning after the break. As for LW, which of those waiver wire guys are LWers?

Looks like you may need to trade a center to get a decent #2 goalie. Almost half your cats are goalie cats. Ward may be done for the season and Smith is a big if right now with Nitty stealing the show. Hopefully a good showing today gives him back the starters job. You could try to package Smith and a center for a decent goalie and maybe pick up Biron before the trade deadline as he almost assured to be moved.
