Offering Hossa and Jovo for Rads and Phanuef in a 1 year points league - PIM\'s pay .5.

I scare myself when I begin thinking like this but I wonder if it doesn\'t pay for me to do it. Solid D production really helps in my league and when things are going well with Phanuef, he is gold.

I am looking for opinions here - is the offset in production between the forward and D sets in this thought favorable to me - unfavorable or a wash?

This would be a pretty close deal, I think. Hossa and Radulov will be relatively even for the remainder of the season, except Hossa\'s points may come more from goals, and I think he shoots a bit more. Ultimately, the difference here will be in the D. Phaneuf is good for SOG and PIM, and Calgary is a reasonable +/- team. On the other hand, Phoenix is scoring a lot of goals lately, but I\'m not sure they can keep it up. I\'d probably take the Radulov/Phaneuf side.

I think it would come down to how many points Radulov would get for the reminder of the season. Hossa is too good to not explode. It\'s just matter of time. I would definitely take Phaneuf over Jovocop. Phaneuf latest injury is a bit scary, but we all know that Jovo has a \&quot;band aid boys\&quot; club membership card!!! If you think like Chad that Rads can do the same amount of pts as Hossa, I would say do it.

Never crossed my mind that Rads would match Hossa for the balance of the year - don\'t think that will happen - just think if it could be sorta close then this deal probably could work for me - I am not in a hurry to follow up on this idea but I do think that trying to lock up better D guys is a route that I need to go.

I wouldn\'t part with Hossa...even if you are getting Phaneuf in return.

Yeah I totally understand what you feel and you\'re right. Sometimes you have to sacrifice something to get an upgrade. I did it in the past and won\'t hesitate to do it again. This year I traded Legace for Redden to upgrade my D squad.
