Default Who to start?

I need some help. I can only start 3 guys on defence and really do not know which ones to go with. Phaneuf, Redden, Weber and Boyle. I was thinking to sit out Boyle due to Tampas lack of goaltending confidence, not sure if they can advance after the 1st round. Which one would you sit out?

I think that Tampa is going to get lit up, and yes, goaltending is exactly why. Boyle\'s been great over the last month (6-3-9), and I suspect he\'ll put up decent numbers in the first round. But that\'ll be it, whereas Nashville, Calgary and Ottowa each have 2-3 round potential, and the guys you have are no slouches. Painful to bench Boyle after the season he\'s had, but that\'s what I would probably do.

That is, of course, unless Colorado pulls off a miracle and beats Calgary out for the final spot in the West. That would certainly make your decision easier - and I agree with Dobber, if CGY can\'t get two points against Edmonton, they don\'t deserve to be in the playoffs. Has to be treated like a Game 7 for them.

Default Yu darvish

A guy in my league tossed him on the trading block right after the draft. He was asking fir a first so I offered that but now he wants a first and third this upcoming draft. We are allowed 7 keepers per team and there is 12 teams. Is he wirth that at this point in the game? I like him but not sure if I should give up 2 of my first 3 picks.

Who are your other keepers? If you could post your entire roster and league config/stats that would be great.

Whoa, your point totals for a week must be massive if your hitter stats are anything like those pitcher stats. Unless pitching is uber important in this league?

OK, so I'd probably say your keepers are:

AGonz
Cano
Beltre
Bruce

And 3 pitchers. We'll say Garza, Gio and Josh Johnson.

Is Yu going to be better than any of those 3? Possibly. Johnson's always an injury risk anyway, but ridiculous when he's healthy.

Have you done a re-draft already? Any idea who you got with your 1st and 3rd picks? If it was someone better than Darvish then I'm not sure there's a point.

Yeah the point goals end up big for the week and batting is equal to pitching. By re draft do you mean a mock? No I haven't and I'm sure with 84 keepers kept yu would most likely be one of them if not a first rounder. But it's hard to say without seeing him throw over here yet. My 7 keepers are solid I'm just looking at winning it this year but I don't want to deplete my picks for a guy who may or may not be great. Just need a push in the right direction. As I sit I dont want to give a 1st and 3rd in one draft, over 2 years or a 1 and. 10 in one year is what I'm thinking. Am I close in this evluation?

In a 12 team league, yes I'd give up the 1st and 3rd.
