Roster in signature - looks like I will move Kopitar and Williams for Afinogenov and Visnovsky. Marleau has dropped onto waivers and with a number 2 priority, I think he might be worth a grab - but he could go to the guy in number 1. There are options after him on FA including some decent D help.
Anyway here is what I am thinking about doing Option A - dumping Wolski as my most marginal forward (any arguments there?) and sliding two guys on IR (Staka, Berard, EJ, Avery available) and then scooping a D guy until the waiver claim is determined - dumping the D guy if claim goes forward - likely keeping him if it doesn\'t. Option B - not dumping Wolski but putting in claim for Marleau dumping Wolski if successful and forget the IR guys. Option C - do nothing Several questions: 1) is Marleau worth it for my team? 2) is Wolski the right guy to dump in Option A and B? 3) which Option makes sense. if any. 4) if Option A who to slide on IR Straka, Avery, EJ (who likely will be active in the next day) and Berard - pick two. Thanks guys and gals.

Wow! You\'re looking at making big moves!
First, I\'m not sure about you trade. You\'re giving up really good guys for whom I think you can have more. Although, Visnovsky will be a great addition and you\'re making space at your C for Forsberg (if you\'re still on the mission!!!) Here\'s my answers: 1 - I can\'t imagine he won\'t be back. He\'s not a known slow starter, but man he did pretty well the past two years. 2 - I think he\'s the most droppable assets. Couple of days ago I would have told you Nagy, but know he\'s definitely the odd man. 3 and 4 - I would go with option A surely grabbing EJ and Straka. Either NYR will have started to play when he\'ll be back or I\'ve heard rumours sending in CLB...

Well, I voiced my opinion on your trade in your other thread.
Option A seems to be the best value and makes sense 1) Hell yes, any team could use Marleau. Although you may see a decrease in points from last year with this slow start but he is still a great C option 2)If that is Marian Hossa yes. but if it is Marcel, I would drop him 3) Option A is something I have done 4) Straka and EJ but if you count PIM, I might consider Avery. Are you short a D?

Yeah I only have 2 D guys right now and in a points league you need to get their games in to contribute to the overall total. I have surplus forwards of good quality so tryng to parlay that into a decent D corp.
Yeah it\'s Marion Hossa so he stays for sure. Really the idea of filling IR is simply to reserve the best players possible in case of another injury to my team or some potential trade bait. I really can\'t look to these guys to otherwise become active on my roster. Regarding the trade - I effectively get to use Hossa or Afinogenov in Williams place - likely to grab Marleau to replace Kopitar and gain Visnovsky - losing Wolski. I am not going to get anything better for these guys in trade in my league. Keeping the status quo means benching good forwards and coming up short in D games day after day. Thanks guys - PIM\'s does pay well so I think it will be Straka and Avery - EJ goes active today anyway.

Understood! If you can\'t get something better, then go for it. As I told, you gain Visnovsky which is a good improvement for you. Since PIMS are counted in your league, yeah go ahead with Avery.
