Default Murphy, Streit, or possibly Rivet?

I want to dump Kuba and I know you\'re all going to tell me to grab Murphy but I watched the Montreal game last night and Streit looked really impressive. He may also get some time on the wing this year which would be a bonus.

My league scoring is: 1pt G, 1pt A, 2pts PPG

Rivet is still available as well, as is Campoli and Ranger, but I\'m staying away from those two.

Thoughts?

Murphy has 14 shots on goal and Streit has 25. Both average around 18 minutes ice time.

Take Streit... Bouwmeester just scored tonight and is going to break out now leaving Murphy in the dust...

Watch it happen...

Bouwmeester is a much better d-man overall but.. if he goes on a tear Murphy will also benefit. Tonight Bouwmeester played 2:16 on the PP. Murphy played 6:23.

Tough to argue against Murphy\'s PP dominance.

Streit is Montreal undisputed PP QB as well, but I think the FLA PP is going to start to click at some point and will rack up some good points.

Hmmm... 1 vote for Streit, 1 vote for Murphy.

I wouldn\'t be so stressed out over this trade if it wasn\'t for Weber being out. We only have 3 trades for the year and I don\'t want to waste 2 of them on Defensemen if Webers production drops when he returns. Knee injuries worry me.

I\'ve also noticed Streit\'s ice time has gone up to 20 min the past 3 games.

So I either take a good player on a team with an amazing PP with the downside being that the Canadiens are deep with defensive talent

or...

A good player who theoretically should be getting more ice time but on a team with a mediocre PP.

:S

Its a close call but I would go Streit since the emphasis is on goals not assists.

I don\'t think you can go wrong with either Streit or Murphy. My vote is still for Murphy, his ability to move the puck keeps him ahead of Streit IMO [even in a pool that slightly weights goals].

FLA scored 4 times last night and Murphy notched 0 points, but was on the ice for all 4. His PP time is high and he\'s been playing a lot with Jokinen [that\'s a recipe for points].

Love both,

But just to clarify, i don\'t believe you\'ll see streit on the wing this year. They had him there before to adjust to the gameplay etc etc, but are more then comfortable with him as their 3 pairing D man now. If injuries happen, There are alot of kids that\'ll get the call up before they put Streit on the wing again.

So if that helps your decision any.. there ya have it.

Otherwise, i have Murphy and love the points he\'s getting so far. Streit has a great shot, but overall, i can see them both finish around the same point totals. Perhaps Murphy with a little more, but streit has PIMS here and there too.. Murphy not so much.
