Ummm why would you even think of trading away Anderson (who is your best goalie now) for Thomas... A 1 on 1 deal would be fair (hot player with good upside for cold player with proven stats), but giving away Stastny or Koivu is completely absurd!

You already have 2 other goalies (Ward is cold right now and Mason is not up to par with last year, but relax, Anderson is hot!)

I don't think you need to give up anything more to get Thomas at this moment and if you do, you will be on the losing side of the deal...

Thanks for the the reply bass, that's the exact reason I made the thread, to make sure I'm not insane. I know Anderson is hot, but everyone else knows it too and aren't willing to trade players with a proven track record for a goalie on a hot team that is bound to fall back down to earth giving up ~33 shots a game. I think Thomas is the safer bet, hence why I'd like to trade Anderson for him, but the owner said he isn't willing to do it. I figure if I package someone else with him I could get the deal done, the reason I said stastny or koivu is because I have 4 centers but perhaps I could package him with Tanguay or Backes and get the deal done.

Adding Stastny or Koivu to the deal is too much I think, but throwing in Kariya makes it a pretty square deal. If the other guy doesn't bite on that package, try Anderson and Tanguay. I wouldn't go much more than that. But I think you're right to try and land Thomas and get rid of Anderson. Colorado is over-achieving....Anderson did this last year with Florida too, and then dropped off the map.
