We now know (barring any further trades) that Chicago will go first and I agree that Kane goes to the Hawks but I\'m curious to see how it breaks down from there.
Philadelphia, even without Clarke, loves size so would they really pass on Van Riemdsyk? (Nice move BTW in the U-18 shootout with Canada). I hear, on this board mostly, that Phoenix likes Turris and now that he\'s listed #1 by CSB its hard to see him slip much further than third. Los Angeles already has Jack Johnson, does that mean they pass on Alzner to take Cherpanov or Voracek? Normally I feel pretty confident predicting the top ten, I\'m not even sure I can predict a top three and get anyone right? Strange draft, much maligned because of the lack of a Crosby or Ovechkin but I\'m wondering if it isn\'t already a great \"second-guess\" draft where many of the players taken will, down the road, look as if they ought to have been taken earlier - or later.

I\'m thinkin Philly might like Alzner.. as their blueline is thin!

Perhaps but Pitkanen, Coburn and Parent are a nice trio to build around. Hatcher looked so washed up first year back after the lockout but, in limited minutes, I think he can still be a presence on the backend - particularly now that they have Biron in net for when Hatcher\'s foot speed creates an opportunity against. They certainly miss Kim Johnsson back there but expect them to make a real push for T.Kimmonen when he hits the free agent market (they already have his brother under contract).

I\'m fairly confident in this as my top four:
1. Chicago- Pat Kane 2. Philadelphia- James Van Riemsdyk 3. Phoenix- Jakub Voracek 4. Los Angeles- Kyle Turris The only one I\'m iffy on is Washington\'s pick. |

Well ISS (May rankings, their last before the draft) and the Hockey News (apparently just arrived today) agree with me on the first 3: Kane, Van Riemsdyk, Turis but split on the next two (Hockey News goes Voracek, Cherpanov while ISS goes Cherpanov, Voracek).
Still feel that Columbus will make a move from #7 up to the top 3 to make their \"splash\" but they need to get a new GM in place to make it happen.

Not sure if he's still defined as a rookie but I was curious to get some info on him. While he's new to the MLB his numbers right now are pretty darn good: 44IP 62K 2.86ERA 1.05WHIP. I play in one league that counts Holds and the only way I found him was by trying to find guys who can get me more holds.
Is he worth keeping in a eye on in deeper dynasty/keeper leagues or leagues that count holds? or is there something in the numbers that might show that he's just been lucky? He's only 1% owned in Yahoo! but I figure that doesn't mean much in terms of potential value. |

I've discussed Pestano as early as last year, calling him a sleeper for saves in the future, and have discussed him throughout this year.
Pestano is someone to own if you're looking for holds. He's been dominant all year and no reason to believe it will change anytime soon.

Thanks DJ, I guess I missed all those signs you pointed out. Well one more great setup man to keep on the roster. Much like you led me to acquiring Romo in many leagues because of the great numbers he puts up even if he doens't get SVs.

He's a setup man for now but has closing type stuff that's for sure. The first time I heard about him was on the Fantasy Focus Baseball podcast, which I listen to every day during the baseball season. Nate Ravitz mentioned him during the podcast as he and Matthew Berry were discussing some deep sleeper targets this year. I've seen him pitch a few times and he looks very dominant, his slider is fantastic. Like Jason said, he's all holds plus an ERA zapper right now but he definitely has a bright future in the big leagues.
