I am a little perplexed by the Washington forward situation. Is Knuble for sure going to play with Ovy and Nick B? And is he going to stay? He seems to be pegged low pointswise in most predictions, like in the 40s. Zubrus was almost a ppg player with Ovechkin. ZUBRUS. If Knuble plays on the first line the whole season, isn't he like 55-60 range? I know he won't get any PP1 time, but it doesn't seem right seeing him pegged to get less points than last year.

Or is there a realistic chance he gets bumped off the first line or something?

Like with every NHL team the lines tend to be switched up throughout the season. And I'm sure that's the case with Knuble as well.

Look at it this way: Kovlov spent a lot of time on Ovy and Backstrom's line over the last two years, because he was a big body that created space. I think Knuble will be a good fit on the top line for the same reason.

AS for PP1 time ... I wouldn't even rule that out. Again, Knuble is a big body that can park itself in front of the net. Tough to move. He might be a good addition on the first PP unit. I could see Semin, Backstrom, Knuble, Ovechkin, and Green being on the first unit, while Laich, Fleischmann, Morrison, Ovechkin and Green being on the second unit.

Ovy and Green tend to be double shifted on the PP.
