Who will do better as my third goalie? I drafted both but will drop one for a sleeper forward.

1st and 2nd goalies on my team are Brodeur and Miller.
Cats are W, GAA and S%.

Neither are great options, but i'd go with Smith. Toskala will have Gustavsson nipping at his heels for a while and Smith is the certified #1 on a better team. The only thing that even makes this close in my eyes is Smith's health questions. But hey, no guts, no glory. Right?

I think Toskola will put up slightly better numbers myself; Toronto's blueline is much improved over last year which will help out Toskola immensely.

Smith didn't start skating until mid August after recovering from the effects of a concussion he recieved last season. This may slow him down a bit at the start of the year.

Either of them will serve you well as your #3; but I would go with Toskola.

Flip a coin. Both are adequate back-ups.

Toskala has Gustavsson nipping at his heels, but Smith could potentially have concussion issues. Niittymaki is no slouch either, so if he falters Tampa has a solid back-up option who is good enough to hold down the starter's role.

as a 3rd goalie you won't need too much so i'd go with toskala, i think the leafs will play better in front of him than tampa so his stats should be better

Both could end up in the same numbers range, but I'll take the risk on Smith. Tampa Bay could really surprise this year so he could end up with better numbers than Toskala.
