Hi fellas first the league details scoring cats are For skaters: G (5 points), A (5), PIM (0.3), Shots (0.2), Hit (0.2), Block shot (0.2) +/- (1)

We start Twenty Five [25]: Three (3) centers, Three (3) left wingers, Three (3) right wingers, Four (4) forwards, Four(4) defense, two (2) goalies, Six (6) benched players. PLUS Three (3) open spots to facilitate 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 (etc..) trades. Giving us a total of 28 slots per PRO team. All position eligibility is based on pool system league is using (ESPN).

This is head to head league.

A trade that has been offered to me is my kane, sharp for his doan, semin and kunitz.

Kane is the best player of the 5 and high value and is still rising but if this is a large league and with 25 players per team then the adage of who gets the best player wins the trade becomes the exception here.


Semin still has room to grow (but has problems staying in the lineup) and Doan is really consitent too.

Kunitz will be enough value to give up Kane because he will give your team the depth required in larger leagues.

If your league is 8 teams or more I would pull the trigger on this trade.

I don't know ESPN position eligibilities but I know in Yahoo that I would probably do this deal for that reason with doan and Semin dual at wing - that extra very decent body in the trade encourages me to do this deal anyway. Giving up Kane is hard but I think on balance you come out ahead. I like all the players in the deal.
