Dobber Sports Rookie
Default Neal / Okposo offer

Here is the breakdown:

16 team full keepers

I would get James Neal and Jakub Kindl

I would give up Kyle Okposo

I LOVE Neal, but I'd keep Okposo. Especially with Tavares now there.

To me okposo will be a far better player than Neal. Aside from talent though his path is clear since he and Tavares will be the anchors of the offense for years and if they develop chemistry...wow. Neal has to fight a healthy Morrow and other youngsters such as Benn, Brunstrom and Glennie fogging things up in the next year or two so I think you would come to regret this deal. Kindl also has quite the logjam to fight through and to me is not enough to swing it in your direction.

Yeah I'm with those two, Okposo has a green light to play with Tavares and should take another step in his development. Neal just has too much competition for the job in Dallas, this week I'll have the Dallas top six/bottom six article up.

It's looking like

Eriksson - Ribeiro - Morrow
Neal - Richards - Ott

Brunnstrom - Modano - Lehtinen
Benn...

So I think Neal has a top-six gig as of right now, but it's not a guarantee that he'll keep it.

Kindl is good, but just get buried behind too much depth in Detroit.

Agree with Angus. If you were to use stats for 2008/2009 then you would probably go with Neal. He had a great season. I hope that he shows some consistency and does it again this year. Considering the upside of Okposo, alongside Taveras, the risk/reward is more favorable than going with Neal.

I am not sure that Kindl is going to be the next PPQB in Detroit. My gut feeling is that Ericsson may be closer, than Kindl, in getting the PPQB role.

I would keep Okposo.

I have both Neal and Okposo on a keeper team - advantage Okposo without a doubt - Kindl does not attract me enough to close the gap,

For me, this is a simple case of keeping the best player. Tell him to up the ante.
