Hey fellas,
Heatley has gone from my favorite player on my favorite team, to a player I can\'t stand to have on my fantasy team.

This is my trade I proposed even though I am irrational right now:

Details and team in signature, but it is pretty much a points only keeper league. No positions or salaries...just points.

I give Heatley and Huselius
I get Kopitar, Giroux and Tavares

What do you think? Should I rescind the offer before the guy sees it?

well if for some reason you dont like heatley anymore i would run with this and see what happens. im not so sure he will accept but maybe since it does have heatley attached to it.

in my mind if you can keep all of them and your already sick team.. then its a good move. kopitar/giroux should outperform heatley next yr and going forward. and tavares defently trumps Huselius

i also like these as decent replacements as some of your guys might start dropping off in production in a yr or 2.

That would be a great deal for you. I would be VERY surprised if the guy accepts it. If you got Kopitar and Giroux for Heatly and Huselius you would be still be getting the better deal. I think asking for Tavares also is bordering on greedy.

I think the other posters in this thread are majorly overrating prospects at the expense of proven production.

But really, Notch - your team is so beyond stacked it\'s not funny. Maybe it\'s funny to you... hard not to enjoy a team like that! I\'d say leave the trade out there because Kopitar is going to be a lot of fun to own when he breaks out, and it\'s a lot of fun to own a top prospect like Tavares.

My point? Maximize the fun to you, because the win is likely in the bag. :lol:

OK, so I do value proven results over prospects obviously as everybody should (unless in rebuild mode). But, it seems that maybe I was to greedy in my initial offer. I don\'t like doing that, so what if I change my offer to:

Heatley and Huselius
FOR
Kopitar and Tavares

I assume this deal is closer. Who wins this and should I even offer this new deal?

i would still do the trade, maybe because i am drinking the tavares kool aid. even if tavares tops out at 80-90 it would still be a good trade. huselius is pretty inconsistent, and read the article on kopitar on the main page, he should be due for a breakout soon, LA is taking the steps to be a better team (if the pronger/jj trade happens).

I would have to agree, I think he might decline this deal. If he doesn\'t he may be making a huge mistake. If I could get this package for Heatley I would be doing CARTWHEELS and I can\'t even do CARTWHEELS..
