Hmmm nice set of assets there Coldsquad.

Any way it seems that you are in a keeper so here is what I would do - I would offer Alfredsson and Shannie for Cheechoo and Horton as a first shot. Think you likely gain in the long run - Is Rafalski an important part of the deal for you?

Ya, it is with a different fantasy provider. Rafalski is not mandatory for me. I coulr use him re Boyle\'s injury. I do not really want to trade Hossa or alfie just because they are so hard to replace. Taking Cheechoo or Horton is a down-grade at RW for the present. Gagne would be nice, Rafalski could help too. But I am still losing the best player.

Yeah I know what you mean by losing the best player - it seemed to me that you are sitting pretty anyway for this year and Cheech and Horton will continue to be valuable over the longer haul and if I was a betting man suggest that this year combined they likely won\'t be far behind Alfie and Shannie. I think for Alfie alone - the Gagne (big fan here of this guy), Rafalski, Cheechoo deal is pretty amazing - I think you could certainly be in a good spot trade wise. I also think that Boyle owners should be really concerned about his return to form - 3 slashed tendons in the hand are not going to be easy to come back from - I really wonder if he will ever be the guy he was before it happened.

Actually I am a little confused in one post you wrote Gagner and another you wrote Gagne - I assume Gagner because otherwise this deal becomes a no-brainer

I\'d do the deal. You need help on defense and Cheechoo or Horton won\'t be too far behind Alfredsson for too much longer.

Personally, I\'d go for Cheechoo for a greater impact immediately. He\'ll rebound from last year and hit 40 goals, 80 points at least.
