Default Trading Fluery?

I\'ll give you some background into our league, we have only 7 GMs, 50 man rosters and also a prospect roster, which makes our team very deep. We only play 1 goalie though. I also have Turco, Dipietro on my bench and Price and Hiller in my Prospect roster. A GM is hounding me with offers for Fluery. Goalie catagories are 2pts W, 3pts SO

Now i am fairly weak on the Wings and D. I can probably get Nash or Gaborik, which id choose Gaborik, a good prospects and a Pick. I dont think i\'ll win this year and feel maybe losing the 20 points or so from Fluery to Turco might be worth it if i can boost my wingers and team overall. I mean i feel price is going to be a star and is my goalie of the future anyways. Any thoughts? or comments appreciated. Please dont reply to call my stupid for considering trading fluery, i realize hes young, a great goalie, and plays on pittsburg, but sometimes you gotta sacrifice for the good of your team

My worry, is the injury history of your choices (Nash or Gaborik)
If you\'re going to sacrifice a kid like Fleury, then your fellow gm needs to make a similar sacrifice.

What other player options do you have to acquire?

Hossa, Iginla, Tanguay but with there age they dont really fit into my team which is good young players. Im willing to take a risk on Gaborik or Nash because if they do get over there injuries, then either one can be a top 10 player in the NHL, if nash gets a C

Hossa is only 28, and fits the description of a good, young player!

seems like all of us had the same thoughts on hossa...

I\'d be interested if you could dish dipietro instead of fleury for hossa. Dipi is almost as young and he too is a good talent, but fleury is on a WAY better team.

Tell him that he has to make an offer worthy of market price. If you were to put fleury on the trade block in your league, I\'m sure you could get way more than nash for him.

yes i understand Hossa\'s age, I have players like Backstrom, Mueller, Kopitar, Frolov, Ovechkin, when the rookies are hitting there prime in 4-5 Seasons, i\'d rather have a player younger then 28. I want a super team of all under 25 players who will win the league for me year after year.

Yes, but don\'t forget that any players you receive become assets.
If Hossa is lighting it up by Christmas, then offer him up to a contender, you\'ll get alot for him.
