just read the 4 players to learn to love article, and was caught unawares by your blurb on chelios at the end there; \"no fantasy value\".
it got me to thinking on something that\'s been bugging me for a couple days: powerplay points. actually, my thinking was more along the lines of - \"why does EVERY damn pool count powerplay points\"? this bothers me, as a creative person, because as soon as you begin to count stats that half of the players in the nhl will be (essentially) ineligible for, you\'ve effectively narrowed the pool from which players will be initially drafted. your comment on chelios sparked me to the idea of somehow accounting for the age of the players as a modifier to the overall points of your fantasy team. ie relatively youthful teams, say avg age 25, would be rewarded because the poolie has somewhat gone out on a limb with these youngsters. the same could also go for an overly veteran squad, with avg age say 33 or something. anyway, thanks for the article!
