hey fellahs,
new here and this is my first post.

i\'m in need of an upgrade in between the pipes in my keeper league since we start two goalies and i\'ve got mason and fernandez and my only other goalies (neuvirth and enroth) are a ways away.

i\'m thinking of offering my malone and martin for fleury. am i going too cheap? btw, the guy loves malone.

thoughts?

He may love malone, but he would have to be crazy to do this. MAF could arguably get the most wins this year(will have competition but could legitimitly do it).He is definately one of the top fantasy goalies, and in return, he would be getting a third line winger and an ok defensman on a very defensive squad. If you can pull this off, you should be in the running for winning your pool.

what about semin for MAF straight up?

this would leave me pretty thin at LW, but that\'s what he\'s looking for and i need goaltending help now. MAF solves many problems as he\'s solid now and he\'s young and on a great team, so my future\'s solid with him there while i wait for my prospects to come up.

He should reject it and you should be ashamed for being so cheap. Give him Semin if that\'s what it takes - you still win that one.

the problem is, he won\'t tell me what he wants.

i realize in both deals that i put together that i was low-balling him, but that\'s the way of negotiations, is it not? my only concern would be, especially cause i don\'t know the guy, that i\'d piss him off and he wouldn\'t deal, which is not my intention.

trust me, i know the value of MAF and the value of the guys i offered, but if i can get him on the cheap, why not?

all that being said, i cancelled the trade and offered a starting point of semin, to err on the side of caution.

thanks for the feedback though, i just wanted to defend my reasoning.

Why not start dealing by a fair offer. Trying to go cheap can only piss the other GM and cancel the deal. That\'s how I see a deal.
