I thought about this a lot over the weekend... With Whitney and Kaberle, it\'s clear that I can delay picking another dmen, but for how long? Is it wise to say (unless big surprises happen), that I can fill my forward positions (missing 2C, 2LW, 2RW) and my 2nd goalie first? If I assume that I\'ll pick a LW and a RW in round 7-8, that would bring me to round 13-14. What do you guys think?

Well if you get the guys you want in round 7 and 8 then you are almost to the limit of your keepers for next year. When it comes back to you at round 9 there are 79 players gone to that point so still alot of talent out there and certainly prospects galor. It probably becomes a matter of picking the best player available at the time to fill you team out for this year - I think you will find late round deals, sleepers and prospect that you can take a shot at too.

Forwards will get you more points than D guys so yes it seems appropriate to select fowards before D guys - the fact that you can likely still get a nice goalie at round 11 or 12 suggests to me that likely your 9-12 picks might be 3 forwards and a goalie.

A lot still depends if there are quirky runs that happen - that second goalie could still be a keeper if it is someone like Ward and he comes on strong this year again. So you need to watch that.

Good! You\'re confirming that I\'m wrong! I guess you\'re right about picking the BPA would be the best solution. Although, I\'m a bit afraid of another goalie run so I might have to pick one in round 9-10.
